We are currently searching for Mechanical Engineering Detailer to join our team at our Old Fort Engineering Center in Old Fort, North Carolina.
What you will do:
- Design: Use Solidworks® to create innovative, reliable, and maintenance friendly equipment designs for Auria Solutions’ fabrication facilities
- Drawing creation: Create comprehensive 2D manufacturing drawings directly from Solidworks® 3D models
- Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T): Apply precise geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) rules to components as required for proper assembly and operation
- On-Site Technical Support: Partner directly with the assembly technicians assembling the equipment onsite to answer questions, provide assembly order, and address design issues
- Multi-CAD Flexibility: Open OEM and vendor CAD data using Siemens NX® and export for further use and development within Solidworks®
- Bill of Materials (BOM) Management: Generate and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOM), utilizing Solidworks® tables and PLEX® procurement software
- Engineering Change Control: Actively manage drawing revisions and engineering change notice (ECN/ECO) in 3D models and 2D drawings
- Procurement of materials: Assist engineering in creating Purchase Orders for components & sub-systems required for equipment being developed and assembled
- Other duties as assigned.

What you will bring:
- Associate degree in Mechanical Design, Computer-Aided Design, or a closely related technical certificate program. Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical field is preferred.
- 1-3 years’ experience creating designs and technical drawings within an engineering environment
Travel Requirements:
- Limited to none
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
- Software Mastery: high level with Solidworks® is mandatory
- Working knowledge of proficiency in Siemens NX is a strong plus
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Understanding of drawing creation for machining and fabrication processes
- 3D model creation in Solidworks®
- Strong Spatial reasoning
- Ability to design mechanical systems using Solidworks®, adapt existing designs for new application, create 2D drawings for machining and fabrication, create assembly drawings, support assembly technicians during assembly/testing and create accompanying documentation that accompanies equipment to end-user
